There are days when the weight of life presses in so hard, it’s difficult to breathe—when the bills stack up, the news feels heavy, or your prayers seem to echo back unanswered. In those moments, it's easy to believe God is far away.
But that’s where the beauty of Godwinks shows up.
Godwinks are those small, unexpected reminders that God sees us. They aren't always big or flashy—sometimes they’re a smile from a stranger, a song that hits just right on the radio, or a verse that seems written just for you. They're heaven’s way of saying, “I’m here. I haven’t forgotten you.”
Joy in the Middle, Not Just the End
The Bible reminds us that “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). That doesn't mean joy is only found when life is going well. It means joy can be found even when it’s not—because joy in Christ isn’t circumstantial, it’s foundational.
Joy shows up in small graces:
A warm cup of coffee when you’re feeling worn out
A friend's text at just the right time
Laughter in the middle of tears
A quiet moment in His Word that calms your anxious heart
These are not coincidences. They’re kindnesses from a loving Father who knows what you need—often before you even ask.
Training Your Eyes for Godwinks
Sometimes, we miss these moments because we’re too focused on the problem in front of us. But when we slow down—even just for a breath—we begin to see the fingerprints of God in the quiet corners.
Ask Him to open your eyes to the little joys. Keep a journal of daily Godwinks. You’ll be amazed at how often He shows up once you start looking.
He’s Closer Than You Think
If you're walking through a hard season right now, know this: God hasn’t forgotten you. He’s not distant. He’s right in the middle of it with you. And He’s still sending reminders—little glimmers of joy to carry you through.
So, pause. Breathe. Look around. There’s a Godwink waiting.
With Love,
Christi
